Mrs. Nicole Ryan

Hello!  My name is Nicole Ryan and this is my second year at The Alton Central School as the K-2 Special Education Teacher/Case Manager.  I absolutely love teaching.  This is my tenth year of teaching.  I look forward to meeting and working with my new students. This is year I will be co-teaching, which is a new initiative at ACS.  I am very excited to take on this learning journey together.  I love spending time with my family.  My kids Danny, and Makenzie, are going into Third grade and Kindergarten.  My heart strings will be pulled, when my little girl steps onto the school bus to Kindergarten.  I can relate to all of my incoming K students, I will have tissues ready!  I am very adventurous, I went on a 30-day mountaineering Outward bound in Colorado, where I repelled ajacent to waterfalls, went rock climbing, hiked a 14K foot peek, hiked 120 miles, and ended the trip with a marathon.  I enjoy running and taking classes at the gym such as spinning.  This past year I was a Girl's on the Run coach.  I ran the rock and roll marathon in San Diego.  I back packed through Europe for three months after I finished my undergrad, where saw the most amazing cities, cathedrals, museums, and the beautiful countryside.  I started my adventure touring around Ireland, and went to see the Loch Ness, Aran Islands, Galway, Glasco, and the Blarney Castle, in Cork, then I went to Edinburgh, Scotland, London, Paris, Spain, Venice, Rome, Florence, Cinque terre, Corfu, Greece, Austria, Germany, Monico, and Prague.  I have also traveled to Costa Rica, Hawaii, Aruba, and Mexico.  I have traveled cross country three times, and I lived in San Franciso for four years.  I studied studio art, and I hope to find time to start painting again.

I hope that you are enjoying your summer vacation!  This summer I will be spending time with my my family swimming at the lake, building sand castles, boogie boarding at the ocean, camping, going to Canobie riding untamed, and reading some great books.  Welcome back to school, and I look forward to having a great year!
