Ms. Rebecca Rush

Ms. Rush has been teaching World Languages (French and Spanish) since 1994. She taught high school for the first half of her career, and then piloted and developed a K-8 World Language program in Northwood, NH in 2007. In 2013, she was honored as the NH World Language Teacher of the Year.

Ms. Rush has traveled extensively - she completed Masters Degree classes in Madrid, Spain in 2006. She received a Grant in Aid to spend a summer in West Africa, where she lived in the village of Niaga, Sénégal for several weeks. She participated in an interdisciplinary faculty trip to the Galápagos Islands in 2007. She has also led eleven student travel trips abroad to France, Spain, Morocco and Costa Rica with former students. She has also traveled to Mexico. Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, Venezuela, the Gambia, Canada, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the Cayman Islands.

Ms. Rush is also very active in community theatre. She directs, choreographs and performs in various community theatre venues throughout southern and central NH and the Boston area. She has received many nominations for the NHTA (New Hampshire Theatre Awards) and EMACT. She leads summer theatre camps for children in Manchester, NH annually.
