Special Education Teacher/Case Manager
The Alton School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher/Case Manager for the 2022-2023 school year. The successful candidate will hold a current NH licensure in General Special Education, hold a Bachelor’s Degree or higher, and have previous experience (preferred). The special education teacher will provide direct instruction and
instructional support to students with disabilities while working in collaboration with the general education team. This position will cover elementary students and oversee the special education caseload as well as all aspects of their specialized educational programs. Candidates should show success as a collaborative team member, possess strong oral and written communication skills, have a strong work ethic, have the ability to work independently and possess a firm understanding of special education processes.
Salary and benefits are competitive, determined by experience and education.

PARA-EDUCATORS
Alton Central School is seeking full-time paraprofessionals to work in our elementary school. Opportunities are available for one on one and classroom paraprofessional. Duties of a one on one paraprofessional consists of the purpose of providing support to the instructional and behavioral program with specific responsibility for assisting in the supervision, care, and instruction of a student with special needs in the general education setting. Classroom duties of a paraprofessional may include: provide instructional support and behavioral support in individual, small group, and whole group settings as determined by the classroom teacher and special education teacher. Collect data as directed by the special education teacher if needed. Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality. Fulfill all responsibilities as assigned by the Special Education Teacher, Special Education Director, and Principal. Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Alton Central School is looking for dedicated and compassionate behavior technicians to join our team. This is a school year position that may include limited summer hours.
This position provides instructional, behavior and other support to students with disabilities both in and out of the classroom in a one on one setting or with students in small groups.
RBT responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
- Understand and is able to apply the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide effective and thoughtful support to all levels of the school.
- Strong documentation and/or technical writing skills.
Job Requirements:
Associates Degree or equivalent relevant coursework preferred.
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification is required. Certification training may be provided for the right candidates.
