My name is Mrs. George and I am Alton Central’s Speech-Language Pathologist. While this is only my second year at ACS, I have been in the field of speech and language for 25 years. I earned my undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of New Hampshire and then went on to earn a second graduate degree at Nova Southeastern University.
I became interested in this field because I love language! Throughout my career, I have worked with preschool through high school children. I also work with adults at a local skilled nursing facility. I love being an SLP because I have the opportunity to work with people of all ages (birth through adulthood) on becoming better communicators (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) as well as other areas!
I live with my husband and our three Bernese Mountain Dogs. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, cooking, and interior design. I am involved in our regional Bernese Mountain Dog club and also enjoy dog training and competing in conformation (dog shows) and obedience trials.
